It works out what to make
Every recipe is scaled to your orders, day by day. A base used in three products, like a pastry or a spiced vinegar, is added up into one batch.

And what to buy
The shopping list is what your orders need minus what's on the shelf, in whole packs, grouped by shop.
| Day | Recipe | For | Make | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fri | Cheese scones | Corner Café | 40 | Done |
| Fri | Sausage rolls | Corner Café | 24 | Making |
| Sat | Chipotle hot sauce | Market | 18 | To make |

Know which products actually make money
Enter what you pay for each pack once. Every recipe is costed to the penny, including the pastry, sauce or jar it goes in. When butter or glass goes up, change it in one place and every recipe and price list updates.
Each price list (retail, wholesale, catering) suggests a minimum price from your costs, and Reports flags anything that has slipped below it.
Ingredients: Self-raising flour (WHEAT flour, calcium, iron, niacin, thiamin), mature cheddar (MILK), BUTTER (MILK), MILK, free range EGGS, MUSTARD powder, salt.
Allergen labels built from your recipes
Tick the allergens on each ingredient once. Every recipe lists its allergens and writes its ingredients list in weight order, with the allergen words in capitals, including everything inside your own pastry, fillings and sauces. It covers the UK 14 and the US Big 9.
Always check a label against your packaging before printing. Natasha's Law explained
"I'm John. For five years I ran a bakery that grew from just me at the kitchen table into a commercial kitchen with a team. I loved creating and making things, not the constant headache of pricing, planning and admin. So I built the thing I wished I'd had: software that keeps every price right and every order on track."
John, founder of MakrPrep
Who it isn't for: MakrPrep isn't a till or an accounting package, so keep those. It sits between your orders and your oven. If you cook everything to order on the spot, you probably don't need it.
