Deleting your account
This article helps you permanently close your MakrPrep account.
Before you start
Back up anything you want to keep first (see "Backing up and restoring your data"), this cannot be undone.
Steps
- Open Settings → Account controls.
- Click "Delete my account", permanently deletes the account, all of its data, and your login. After this, you cannot sign back in with this email until you sign up fresh. MakrPrep recommends exporting a backup first.
Confirm when prompted.

What to expect
Deletion removes your ability to sign in entirely, it's a genuine account closure, not a data wipe.
Common issues
- Wanted to just start over, not close the account, use "Resetting your account data" instead; it clears working data but keeps your login and subscription active.
