Managing pricing tiers and production statuses

This article covers the configurable lists under Settings → Pricing & Orders.

Steps

  1. Open Settings → Pricing & Orders.
  2. Pricing tiers: add tiers with a formula (Multiple of cost, Add a fixed amount to cost, or Relative to another tier) that only ever produces the live suggested price shown next to each recipe's manual price; formulas never charge on their own.
  3. Order statuses: shown in the status dropdown on the Orders screen. The first status in the list is used for newly created orders. Tick "Hide by default when reached" on statuses that mean an order is finished, the Orders screen hides those unless you turn off "Hide complete".
  4. Production statuses: used on the Production Plan. Tick "Complete" on the statuses that mean the item is finished, reaching one of these deducts stock and locks the row (or split).

  5. Low-stock threshold: "Keep enough for N batch(es) of every recipe using it", a single account-wide multiplier.

What to expect
Order statuses and Production statuses don't share data, an order's status is independent of a Plan row's production status, even though both are configured in the same Settings area.

Common issues

  • Set "Complete" on the wrong list and stock didn't deduct, the "Complete" flag that deducts stock only exists on Production statuses; Order statuses' equivalent flag ("Hide by default when reached") only controls visibility on the Orders screen.
  • Deleted a tier still referenced by an existing recipe price, deleting a tier permanently deletes every recipe's manually-set price for that tier along with it; this isn't reversible from within the app. If you recreate a tier with the same name afterward, it's a new tier with no memory of the old prices, you'll need to re-set them. Export a backup first (see "Backing up and restoring your data") if you might want those prices back.
