Generating and reading your shopping list

This article helps you read and act on your shopping list.

Before you start
Have an active Production Plan.

Steps

  1. Open Shopping List (under Plan). It's pack-aware: it shows both the raw quantity needed and how many whole packs to buy.
  2. Only ingredients with a genuine shortfall are listed. Anything already covered by stock is hidden entirely rather than shown at a zero-to-buy quantity.

  3. When you confirm a purchase, the "actual bought" quantity defaults to the suggested pack amount and is editable, so you can confirm the whole list in one action if you bought exactly what was suggested.

What to expect
Confirming a purchase records real stock movements (see "Managing your ingredient catalogue") rather than just checking an item off a static list.

Common issues

  • An ingredient I expected isn't listed: it's hidden by design once fully covered by current stock. It'll reappear once genuinely short again.
  • Confirmed quantity doesn't match what I actually bought: edit the "actual bought" field before confirming. It only defaults to the suggested pack amount, it isn't fixed.
