Managing your ingredient catalogue

Steps
Open Ingredients (under Library), then search or sort by any column. Use the Columns control (next to Search/Bulk upload/Add) to show or hide optional columns: Pack cost, Pack size, Unit, Cost/unit, Stock, Supplier, Allergens, and Detailed ingredients, so the table fits your screen. Name and delete are always shown. Your choice is remembered, and a "Reset to defaults" link is available if you want the original set back. If the table still feels cramped, use the collapse-sidebar control at the top of the left-hand navigation to reclaim width.
The Ingredients table with the Columns control, Search, Bulk upload, and Add - The Stock column is editable inline, but it's still ledger-based behind the scenes. Editing it records the difference as a new stock movement (a manual adjustment) rather than overwriting a single stored number. There's no dedicated screen to browse that movement history directly.
- Use the detailed ingredients field to build out full label composition text.
- Set an optional unit weight on any ingredient used both by weight/volume and as "each," so MakrPrep can reconcile between them.
- Names must be unique per account.
What to expect
A stock figure is always the sum of its movement history, even when you edit it directly in the table. There's no way to make the number drift from that ledger. There's just no dedicated screen for browsing the movement history itself yet.
Common issues
- Stock doesn't match a physical count: just correct the number in the Stock column directly. MakrPrep records the correction as a manual-adjustment movement automatically, so you don't need to calculate the difference yourself.
- Duplicate-sounding ingredient names rejected: names must be unique per account. Check whether you meant to edit an existing ingredient instead of creating a new one.
- Table doesn't fit the screen or scrolls sideways: hide columns you don't need day-to-day via the Columns control, and/or collapse the left-hand sidebar for more width.
