Setting up your business

Steps

1. Open Settings. "Set these up first" at the top lists the five settings worth checking on day one: currency, business name, allergen rules, price tiers and low stock. Click one to jump to it; each ticks off once you have opened it. Close the list with the cross when you are done.

   Everything else is grouped under Business setup, Pricing and orders, Appearance and Account. Click a heading to open it, or use Expand all.

   

2. Under Business setup, set your currency and business name, and pick which allergen lists you want to tag from: the UK 14, the US Big 9, and/or other recognised allergens (Canada, Australia and New Zealand). You can also set up recipe categories, component categories and tags.
3. Under Pricing and orders, check your price lists (pricing tiers), your order and production statuses, how many days the Orders page shows, how overdue orders are handled, and your low-stock threshold. The defaults work well to start with.
4. Under Appearance, choose Light or Dark colour mode, whether to hide cost, profit or revenue figures on screen, and whether to show help tips.
